David Catallo is Teaching a Continuing Education Course in Flamenco Guitar @ John F. Ross

Do you like the Gypsy Kings, Jesse Cooke, or Paco de Lucia? Have you ever heard Flamenco guitar playing and always wanted to learn the techniques and rhythms of this folk tradition? Now you can, with David Catallo. You will be studying the rhythms and chords of Rumbas, Tangos, Farrucas, Bulerias, and other Palos in this grand tradition. The course is for all levels of guitarist. We will be learning rhythms and chord changes and then playing the pieces together as an ensemble and more advanced students will be able to improvise over songs. Your own guitar is required for class. No class Feb 16.
